Specialist Speech and Language Therapy

The NHS in East Berkshire now has a number of therapists trained and able to provide therapy for Parkinson's Disease patients using the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment which is the only therapy regime with clinically proven long term benefits. The treatment is a very intensive 4 week programme focussing on improving loudness in speech but there are additional benefits in most aspects of verbal communications. Treatment is free and you should ask your GP for a referral to the Speech and Language Therapy Department.  Further information is available from Phillip Mannion on 01344 877610 and you can also read more about this therapy at

AbilityNet is a national charity that helps people with disabilities to use computers and the internet.
